The Roadrunner email settings for Outlook will depend on the type of server being used. For POP and IMAP accounts, the incoming mail server should be set to 'pop-server.roadrunner.com' and the outgoing mail server should be set to 'smtp-server.roadrunner.com'. The username should be the full email address, and the password should be the same one used to log in to the Roadrunner email account. For SSL connections, the incoming mail server should be set to 'pop-server.roadrunner.com' and the outgoing mail server should be set to 'smtp-server.roadrunner.com'. The port numbers for both incoming and outgoing mail servers should be set to '995' for POP and '465' for SMTP. Additionally, the outgoing mail server should be set to 'require authentication' and SSL should be enabled. It is also important to ensure that the POP and SMTP settings are enabled in the Outlook account. By following these steps, Outlook should be able to successfully connect to a Roadrunner email account.

Open Outlook:
Launch Microsoft Outlook on your computer. Add an Email Account: Go to "File" > "Add Account." Choose Email Account Type: Select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click "Next." Choose Service: Select "Internet Email" and click "Next." User and Server Information: Fill in your User, Server, and Logon Information based on the details provided above. Ensure the Account Type is set to IMAP for incoming mail server settings. More Settings: Click on "More Settings." General Tab: Enter your name and email address. Optionally, enter an organization and reply email if needed. Outgoing Server Tab: Check "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server." Advanced Tab: Set the Incoming server (IMAP) to 993 with SSL/TLS. Set the Outgoing server (SMTP) to 587 with STARTTLS (or SSL/TLS if STARTTLS is not available). Click OK: Click "OK" to close the "Internet Email Settings" window. Test Account Settings: Click "Next" in the "Add Account" window. Outlook will test the account settings. Ensure that both tasks are completed successfully. Finish: Click "Finish" to complete the setup. Regards, Peter |
