The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is a state-owned agency that regulates and licenses casinos, pagcor slot clubs and e-games cafes in the Philippines. In addition to generating gaming income, PAGCOR also enforces laws that prevent the illegal operation of gambling establishments. Aside from regulating local operations pogo philippines, the corporation also takes on joint ventures with private entities in pagcor online casino.
The corporation's chief executive officer is Andrea Domingo. Her assistant vice president for community relations and services department is Eric Balcos. There is also the Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility Group, Shierwin Taay. Another notable complication is the corporation's decision to establish POGO hubs in selected cities, including Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Manila, San Francisco, and Santo Tomas. Despite the Chinese government's opposition to the concept, PAGCOR sees it as an ideal setup.
For starters, there are at least four casinos operated by the corporation in the country. The first was a floating casino on Manila Bay in 1977, which was later moved to Paranaque City, and has since then shifted to land-based casinos. Other than casinos, the corporation also manages e-games cafes and other gambling-related facilities. Among the corporation's more ambitious goals is to boost its share of the Southeast Asian gaming market to more than a hundred percent by 2027. This would include the expansion of its burgeoning online gaming business.
On the regulatory front, PAGCOR has its hands full in regulating the activities of the country's numerous casino operators and e-games cafes. Although the organization claims that it has a single-digit percentage of the overall industry's revenue, it is arguably the country's second-largest source of income. Its main revenue driver is the booming iGaming sector, whose numbers have been increasing steadily over the last few years. EGEBLD, the regulatory arm of the company, has been in operation for six years, and has already approved and accredited over 500 gaming systems service providers and more than a thousand gaming platforms.
Aside from the EGEBLD, there are other government agencies that regulate the gambling scene in the Philippines. For one thing, there are at least nine official agencies in the country that can license a gaming platform. However, the best gaming platform is one that is available in both land-based and remote gambling operations.
While the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation is still the government's main player in the iGaming arena, its competitors are well-established international and local gambling operators. Those who are looking for the best online gambling experiences will be rewarded with top-notch opportunities from leading software providers. Also, the country's iGaming industry has been deemed as the most promising in the ASEAN region, and a lot of players are eager to get in on the action.
Having said that, the most important question that remains is how the company intends to grow its revenue. Fortunately, PAGCOR has the right people in place to ensure that it will keep pace with the ever-changing landscape. To help them in their mission, the corporation has a one-stop shop for its employees, and plans to establish more POGO hubs in major metropolises.
