Leading wheel manufacturer Forgeline Motorsports has teamed up with Emergent Carbon Wheels to debut a new range of Carbon+Forged wheels. These ultra-high performance wheels have two piece carbon and forged aluminum components. Emergent has designed the proprietary carbon fiber barrels while Forgeline provides the weight-optimized CNC machined forged aluminum centers which together deliver wheels that are highly noticeable for their style and performance. Forgeline’s Carbon+Forged wheels are expected to set new standards when it comes to appearance and performance as the carbon fiber barrels are super lightweight thanks to a high-density carbon fiber bundle, a high-clarity resin system and an unusually large carbon weave pattern. All these features come together to create rims that are highly distinctive visually and 42% lighter when compared to conventional aluminum wheels of the same size. The highest level of weight reduction is achieved in the highly critical section of the outer perimeter of the wheel where lower weight contributes significantly to lower inertia thus leading to smoother acceleration, better braking, fuel economy, cornering, ride quality, comfort of the passengers and the drivers, and NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness).
The carbon fiber barrels of Forgeline’s Carbon+Forged wheels are of outstanding quality and have been thoroughly tested to deliver industry-leading levels of impact and damage resistance, fatigue strength, and deflection stiffness. In tests conducted by an independent automotive industry laboratory, the wheels proved to be highly strong and robust, and exceeded all current SAE and TUV test specifications as well as the AK-LH 08 Radial Impact Test standard.

The first wheels that will be available as part of Forgeline’s new Carbon+Forged Series are the lightweight racing-inspired CF201 (featuring a five V-spoke design and aggressive I-beam machining details) and the stylish CF202 wheels with a unique directional split-5 spoke design. They will be available in 20- and 21-inch fitments and have been designed uniquely for exclusive modern sports cars, like the Audi R8, Corvette Z06, Acura NSX , Ferrari 458/488, Lamborghini Huracan/Aventedor, Porsche 918/GT3/GT3RS, as well as Aston Martin, McLaren, Mercedes, and BMW models.
