Diep.io is a 2D multiplayer online game that is similar to Agar.io. To level up and upgrade their tank to the next level, the player controls a simple Tank and fires strong Bullets, Drones, or Traps against Polygons and other tanks.
Game Modes
There are eight different game modes to choose from, each catering to a different type of player.
·        Free For All: As the name implies, each player is on their own.
·        Maze: Like Free For All, but with walls that constrain players to follow certain courses.
·        Survival is a game in which ten players compete to be the last one standing.
·        2 & 4 Team Competition: Teams of various colors strive to be the best.
·        Domination: Two teams compete to seize control of four dominators located on opposite ends of the map.
·        Tag: To win, four teams must convert players from rival teams.
·        Sandbox: Players can try out different tanks and play with their pals in this sandbox mode.
Removed Game Modes
Two game modes have been deleted from the game and are no longer playable.
·        Team Deathmatch: Also known as Team DM, it is extremely identical to 2 Teams and 4 Teams, with the exception that you cannot specify the number of teams. Later, this Game Mode was eliminated, and the game was split into two teams: two teams and four teams.
·        The purpose of this Game Mode is to destroy the Mothership of the opposing team.
Controls
W or [↑] for up, A or [←] for left, S or [↓] for down, D or [→] for right.
·        Mouse aiming - the tank will aim at the player's mouse.
·        To shoot, use the left mouse button or the space bar. If you don't enjoy clicking a lot, you can try holding. The player can activate Auto Fire by pressing "E."
·        Drone Repel (and others): Right-click or Shift - Overseer, Overlord, Manager, and Necromancer drones will flee the mouse. The Factory's drones will either move away from the mouse or collapse to the mouse's position, depending on their proximity to the mouse. When you Right-click or Shift on other tanks, they have different interactions. See the section on Right-click in Controls for additional information.
·        Upgrade: Either move the cursor over the "+" button next to the stat the player wants to improve or press the number key next to the upgrade stat.
·        Toggle Auto Fire on by pressing E; the tank will fire continuously without the need to hold the mouse down. To turn off Auto Fire, press E once again.
·        Holding M and a number key will automatically place upgrade points into the stat corresponding to the number as they become available. Maximization will be canceled if you just press M.
·        Holding U when upgrading without upgrade points allows you to queue your upgrades, which will be upgraded automatically in the order you queued. If you press U twice without upgrading, the queue will be cleared.
·        Auto Rotate: Press C to activate Auto Spin, which causes the tank to spin gently regardless of what the mouse is doing. To set Auto Spin-off off, press C once again.
·        Full-screen mode: F2 is the function key.
·        Activate the class tree: To avoid lag, hold the Y key to show the complete class tree (all the classes and the path to get them). Once the player has finished looking at it, release the Y key.
·        After the player's team has seized the Dominator, they can hit H to take command (without spamming it). The controls remain the same, with the exception that the player is unable to move.
·        Dominator's control is being relinquished: To turn off the control, press H. If a player repeatedly presses the H button in an attempt to take control of the Dominator, they will kill themselves instead of gaining control of the tank.
Classes
Diep.io also has a large number of playable classes that can be leveled up at 15, 30, and 45. (max level). The player begins as a standard Tank with a single Cannon that fires a single round and progresses from there. They can opt to advance to the next possible Tier, which is a classification system, every 15 levels. Tiers are then ordered in the class tree, which can be seen on the right.
Stats
When a player levels up, they get points that can be used to improve their tank's stats, which improves specific characteristics:
The statistics are as follows:
·        Health Regen - Allows the tank's health to replenish more quickly.
·        Maximum Health - Increases the tank's overall health.
·        Increases the amount of damage caused by body impacts.
·        Bullet Speed - Increases the velocity of the ammunition.
·        Bullet Penetration - Improves the health of bullets and hence their penetration.
·        Bullet Damage - Increases the amount of damage that ammo deals.
·        Reload - Increases the rate at which you can fire.
·        Tank Movement Speed - Increases the tank's movement speed.
After each level from 2 to 28, the player receives an upgrade point that can be used to improve one of those metrics from a menu similar to the one shown above. Then they gain an upgrade point every three levels from 30 to 45.
Bosses
In Diep.io, the user can fight powerful, AI-controlled Bosses every 10-23 minutes the server is active, in addition to opponents. They will reward the assailant with a large amount of experience (30,000, enough to gain a level 1 tank in addition to the required experience for level 45). Bosses will not attack players under level 15 until provoked, in order to be fair to newcomers.
Achievements
Diep.io rewards you for your achievements. They can be obtained by meeting specific requirements listed on the achievement; some are more difficult than others, while others are extremely simple. As of March 4th, 2017, the game has 50 achievements. By moving their mouse to the right side of the screen, the player can see all achievements, with earned ones highlighted in color.
Builds
In-game, builds change the player's stats. Health, Speed, and Bullet Strength (among other stats) may all be improved by investing skill points in their respective stats, giving the player a better chance of surviving.
Types of Builds
There are 40,820,633 different builds to choose from. However, because jacks of all crafts aren't nearly as helpful, it's critical to focus on the tank's skills and shortcomings. That is to say, the most useful builds will usually fall into one of the following categories, depending on the class:
GLASS CANNONS
They have little to no health regeneration or health, but they have a high damage output and speed, and their defense is their offensive. They're usually fast, dangerous builds with great damage output, but if they're not covered by their own ammo, they'll die in 1 or 2 good hits.
RAMMERS
Extremely high health, body damage, and speed. These tanks use their high speed and large health pool to catch adversaries off guard and kill them by slamming into them.
Tanks equipped with these configurations can withstand massive quantities of enemy fire before succumbing, making them extremely survivable. They are frequently held back offensively by the knockback they experience when they collide with bullets. Furthermore, health regen cannot keep up with enemy Bullet DPS, thus they must rely on ambushes or teaming to kill the majority of users. Even if things go wrong, Rammers are usually faster than most assault tanks and can swiftly flee.
BULLET SMASHERS
Similar to a glass cannon, but ignores bullet speed to boost movement speed and/or health. These are tanks that focus on 0/X/X/0/7/7/7/X stats while sacrificing Bullet Speed and sometimes Movement Speed in favor of reasonable quantities of Health and maxed out Bullet Stats. They are distinguished by the "walls" or "clouds" they produce as they move forward (as a result of their bullets clumping together), which they can then utilize to ambush and 'hammer' other players.
They may be considered counters to Rammer build users, depending on their overall Speed, as their combined momentum (ammo & body) is often enough to 'outram' them. However, because bullets only move in one direction, the 'walls' they build are part of their momentum and can be lost if the target moves out of the Bullets' trajectory, requiring them to re-aim and/or restart the walls from the beginning.

Players created the following Builds for various Classes using the 33 skill points available at level 45. Make sure you choose the right tank upgrades when using a build.

Trivia
Many people believe that.io is a multiplayer game tag. It's a domain in the British Indian Ocean Territory where the British and Chagossians split the profits from users of the.io domain. Because there are no Chagossians in the area, and the British quickly denied the name's profits, io games is a free domain.
·        A maximum of 80 players can be accommodated on each server (not including AI).
·        The game was inspired by an old internet game named "Diepix" created by the developer, Zeach.
