Notable among these are the additions of a new badge-based player progression system that allows you to customize your MyPlayer creations to match your specializations. The MyCareer mode from NBA 2K21 appears to be less sophisticated, but it should be more engaging.

Improvements have also been made in the area of off-court advancement. There are three playable experiences (scrimmage games, team practices, and category-specific contact workouts) to improve your badges rather than selecting options from a card. According to 2K, the contact drills will also aid in the formation of bonds with WNBA stars.
